Meet Will
I am a New England based photographer specializing in a style of wedding photography that blends editorial, fine art and documentary. With a deeply engrained and intuitive sense of style, aesthetics and mood, I have honed my craft over hundreds of weddings. I am known for creative, artistic lighting: moody, emotional images lit with flash, backlight and color, shaped to each venue and couple.
My photography style is often described as having a feel of the subjects not knowing a camera was there, but at the same time deeply personal, expressive and edgy. I have a passion for highlighting each couple’s true personality through their wedding photos, and I spend a significant portion of my time previsualizing, scouting locations and learning where the uniqueness lies in each new project.
Connecting with people personally lets me cut through tension, ease reservations and make the photo experience truly enjoyable and inspiring.
A wedding is like a pearl, no two are alike
Perla is Spanish for a pearl, prized precisely because no two are the same, formed slowly into something valuable and unique. That’s how I view human relationships, their weddings and the memories we hold representing them.
Driven by what is possible instead of what has already been done.
I move through the day with an unobtrusive presence, directing with confidence when you need it and stepping back when you don’t, so the real moments unfold without me pulling you away from your guests. Intentional yet relaxed. Candid and natural, with an element of drama and emotion.
You won’t get my style. You’ll get yours, rendered with an editorial eye, documentary honesty, and the kind of artistic creativity that makes it worth keeping for generations.
